Shift your focus to your wellbeing…
My Full Head “Lived-In Colour” Transformation service is often the beginning of your hair journey with me and will leave you with a multi-dimensional finish and a colour that will give you longevity.
Lived in colour is a combination of lightening and low lighting techniques complimented by seamless colour blends that give you an effortless lived-in look with a softer root, whilst enhancing soft pops of colour through your face frame, lightness through the ends and ribbons of depth and tone.
I will use a mixture of techniques to create a luxurious looking, seamless lived-in colour that will allow for you to go for longer periods of time between your colour sessions, along with complimenting your skin tone, eye colour and your individual style.
This is for you if....
You have not had your hair coloured by me before.
You want to move away from heavily highlighted hair.
You want more longevity with your hair and more breaks between colours with a more natural-looking root.
Taking care of the condition of your hair is important to you.
You’ve never had your hair coloured before and want to introduce a soft lived-in colour to your hair.

You aren’t looking for the full shebang but want to maintain what you have.

For those of you that are already happy with your colour and how it is placed within the hair but wish to elevate the look of it within a short space of time. Perfect if you’re looking to add some glossy shine, cool down any warmer hues or add some tone back into your hair.
This is for you if...
You want a quick refresh of shine.
You want to cool down brassy tones.
You want to add tone that has been lost.
You want to take some time out for yourself.
+ Bespoke toning service

Highlighting is used to lift the colour of the hair to create an overall lighter look as opposed to my lived-in colour services. Highlighting is visible from the root of the hair and will be created using foil to achieve a clean and even lift. All results will vary depending on your existing hair colour.
This full head technique is used to create soft and delicate lights throughout your hair to create a beautiful, natural blonde finish.
Highlighting gets you lighter than my “lived-in” looks and the lighter pieces come directly from the root. There are so many toning options we can use to customise your highlights depending on whether you are attracted to warmer or cooler shades and what suits your complexion best.
This is for you if...
You have previously highlighted hair and want a more natural-looking highlighted look.
You’re new to colour and want to lighten up overall.
You want to move away from lived-in colour and want to see more lightness from the root.
You want to achieve soft and natural-looking lights throughout the hair.
+ Full head of baby lights
+ 1 bespoke toner
+ Treatment service
You usually won’t need a full head of highlights every time. Depending on your hair length and how you wear it you can do halves in between your full head appointments.
It’s important that we keep it balanced. We’ll take a look at every section of your hair to determine which areas to work on. I’ll chat with you in-depth during the consultation to help guide you in making the right decision, for you.
This is for you if...
You’re looking for a refresh appointment in between your full head service.
You have already had your hair coloured with me before.
+ Half head baby lights
+ Bespoke toner
+ Treatment service
Packed in highlights to give ultimate lightness throughout. This is more of a bold approach to highlighting as opposed to the baby lightening technique and will leave less natural hair in between.
This is for you if...
You’re looking for ultimate lightness.
You want to move from scalp bleach to highlights.
There is a need for colour correction work to be done.
+ Full head of back to back highlights
+ 1 Bespoke toner
+ Treatment service
“This is an absolute transformation and I really enjoy this work so much. Yes, it takes time and it is not the cheapest option. However, it takes a lot of patience, skill and real trust in the process, and in my experience can take a few times to get exactly where you want it to be. I can help guide you from start to finish with your colour journey as big transformations are my thing.” Jess
This is a premium service and I charge £100 per hour and will include all colouring services, treatment services and cutting and styling.
This can not be done without a consultation.
My colour services are unique to the individual and I take a lot of time planning. Planning your hair journey is really important and the game plan will make sure I can get the best results for you.
There are two applications so that it is fully saturated to ensure 100% coverage on resistant hair (this is an ammonia-free based colour).
For those of you that want to blend greys without using a heavier permanent colour and prefer a more seamless grow out without regrowth lines.
This is an all-over colour application where the colour from your roots is blended through to the ends of your hair. It is a lovely service for those who want an all-over natural-looking colour or for those that want an all-over colour with added depth and tone. All over glossing gives a beautiful shine, enhancing condition.
All new clients are required to come in for a skin test and complimentary consultation prior to booking in for any colour. Please be aware that all timings are dependent on what I need to do to your hair and thickness. I encourage you to develop a vision board of images that you love so that we both know that we are on the same page together and can start to plan your hair journey and how we will get there.
Jessica is currently working from a beautiful and inspiring co-working space in Handforth with other freelance hair artists. My hair sessions involve having a nice relaxing time in a beautiful space whilst having your hair taken care of by an experienced colour specialist. I take so much pride in what I do and my aim is for you to have a special hair experience that brings some joy into your world for a short space of time.
I have worked with lots of women who have struggled to be able to voice what they really want during their hair consultation and it feels important for me to offer a space for this to come with more ease. I absolutely love spending time with my guests and I will do my very best to look after you throughout your time with me in the salon space.
Lived-in colour is a mixture of colouring techniques used with the aim to give you the look of effortlessly undone hair that will allow for longevity in between your appointments. You will find that it offers you a more natural-looking root area with soft pops of colour with multi-dimensional tones throughout and brighter looking ends.
Highlighted looks are different because the lighter pieces come directly from your roots in comparison to the lived-in looks and you may find that you need to come in much sooner for your hair appointment if you wish to keep your colour looking fresh. Both looks will be tailored to suit your individual needs and preferences.
All clients will need a skin test prior to their appointment 48 hours beforehand to ensure that it is safe to go ahead with your colour session. This will be done in the salon and will take a few minutes to do.
Yes, you can wash your hair if you wish to, however, I don’t think it makes too much difference and is not necessary unless you have lots of product in your hair and are having a colour session. If you do have a lot of product in your hair it may be a good idea to wash it due to it acting as a barrier between the colour and your hair.
I would also kindly ask that your hair be brushed through, especially if it hasn't been brushed for a few days. I find that if your hair is very knotted it can end up taking quite a while trying to remove them before we start your hair service.
We use a range of products in the salon that we love for styling that includes Davines, L’oreal and Redken, to name a few. We use Davines shampoos and conditioners, and we use treatments such as K18, Innoluxe, and metal detox. I will always use L’oreal and Redken colouring products for our colour sessions.
There will always be a phone consultation beforehand which you can book through the website or you can email or message me (I will usually see a message before I see an email) and I will arrange for this to take place. I will then organise your hair appointment from there.
Yes of course you can reschedule your appointment. However, I kindly ask that you give me as much notice as you can. I know that life can take some unexpected turns, however, I respectfully ask that anyone unable to make their appointment give me more than 48 hours notice so that I can open up the appointment to others. If you cancel your hair appointment within this time frame then there will be a loss of your deposit. Outside of this time frame, you can move your hair to a different day/time using the same deposit.
Deposits will be taken for all hair appointments and will depend on the length of your appointment. This will be discussed in your consultation beforehand.
Please let me know if you are running late. Send me a message or give me a call so that I am aware.
There is a free car park across the road from the studio. You can park there for as long as you wish and there is no charge. There are also other car parks around Handforth if you are struggling to find a space in that one. Again, message or call me if you are struggling to find a space and I can try and help direct you.
