JOSE was born from the understanding of how effective special experiences we share can be, and the way they can make us feel.
Jessica Oakley Soulful Experience, or JOSE, is inspired by my desire to work in a more holistic way within the salon environment. I am also influenced by the work I do as a therapist and mental health practitioner.
I provide relaxing, soulful hair experiences that focus on your wellbeing, whilst creating beautiful, luxurious and stylish hair aimed to enhance natural beauty and build confidence from within.
This service is created by offering bespoke and tailored hair solutions that empower. Your hair experience is unique to you and working on a completely one-to-one basis allows me to focus on you individually, providing you with maximum attention to detail.
Conventional salon environments can often feel overwhelming for women. I’m all about helping give you back your confidence and freedom when receiving your hair treatment.

Hello, my friends.
Thank you for taking the time to come through to my new website. It feels amazing to finally have a place that people can visit and get a feel of what I do and what I am about.
My life is full, with being a mum, a hairstylist, a therapist and a mental health practitioner. I absolutely love music and some of my favourite things include dancing to the best tunes and travelling all over the world to special places that fill up my soul with happiness and love.
Through my love of travel and wonderful experiences that have left an imprint on my heart, I understand the importance of how they can make us feel and that is why I wanted to create hair experiences for people that feel personal, thorough and never rushed. Hair transformations that enhance your natural beauty through the use of hair colour and stylish shapes, complimenting your skin tone, eye colour and lifestyle.
Diversity is welcomed here and my aim is to build trusting relationships in both consultation and service so that you can feel at ease when sharing your hair needs and feel confident with your stylist.
Having worked within the hair industry for 20 years, I have definitely found my flow with how I want to work and that means working within a beautiful and uplifting environment with like-minded people, offering soulful hair experiences that leave you feeling empowered.
My purpose is to help guide you with your hair issues, concerns or ideas in a relaxed and compassionate way.

Our environment plays a big role in all of our experiences. Our surroundings can have a deep impact on the way that we feel.
When creating JOSE, it was important for me to provide my clients with an environment where they could feel not only relaxed but a space that would allow them to be themselves, have a voice and feel empowered.
I am currently working from a beautiful and inspiring co-working space in Handforth/Wilmslow with other freelance hairdressers. The studio is a collective of like-minded hair artists that hold a lot of passion and care for what they do.
We are always focused on learning more through education and expanding our craft consistently. The space is light and spacious, holds good vibes, good tunes, and is the perfect relaxed and uplifting environment to spend your time having your hair seen to.

The one-to-one experience you’ll get with me starts from the very first phone call. All appointments are booked personally by me.
Pre Booking Call
First, you’ll check in with a phone call with me to find out exactly how I can help.
This is the chance to clarify the type of service you need and how best to proceed.
In-Person Consulation
I’ll invite all new clients into the studio in advance of the scheduled appointment.
This is a really important step and something so beneficial for each guest. We'll discuss anything you need including what may not be working for you and what you would like to change moving forwards. This will allow me to plan your hair journey with a clear path and vision.
Appointment Day

Had the most amazing hair experience with the fabulous Jessica at Stripe . Her understanding of what I was trying to achieve was on point and she turned my frumpy, mousy bob into a trendy, creamy, sexy, mess of gorgeousness. The salon itself was such a ncie space and so relaxing and the other girls who worked there, just this day is the best playlist, I have ever heard. Jess is amazing - from walking into leaving, she creates a relaxed environment. She doesn’t mind if you have a lot to talk about or just want to sit in a zen-like state as she works her magic.
She knows your hair type and what will suit you from the outset and will always use this to give you the style you want but also work. Plus if you’re like me, you’ll love seeing Jess just for the incredibly relaxing hair wash, which is essentially a therapeutic scalp massage - bliss.
